2014 was a good season with the First XI winning the Stone & District Premiership.

The social scene is developing…. members families & supporters shared a wonderful presentation evening in October. We have also been overwhelmed with the support and positive comments from the recent ‘Christmas Walk’.

‘Christmas Walk Fun!”

What a fantastic fun Event!!!

Amazingly, 103 people turned up to our first Norton-in-Hales Cricket Club ‘Christmas P1050416Walk’ including 21 children. A beautiful cold, frosty & sunny day… The day started with bacon baps and hot beverages served by our willing volunteers at our catering facility at the Club.P1050393

Walkers set off meandering through the fields on the 5 mile picturesque walk in our beautiful Shropshire countryside climbing gradually to the first pit stop at our kind hosts hospitality for a port and mince pie break….

The walkers continued onto new pastures and enjoyed winterly views across the Shropshire & Cheshire plains stopping again by a roaring hot fire basket welcomed by another host to replenish with mulled wine and assortments….

P1050435P1050420The third leg encompassed parkland descending to the finish back into the village. It was good to see lots of happy families sharing conversations in true festive spirit in the Hinds Head public house afterwards! (And the well earned chip butties helped!)

‘Spot the Reindeer’ fun competition answer was – ‘Prancer’ (not many adults got that one!)

Many thanks to everyone that took part and especially to our hosts who looked after us all at the pit stops……

Event Reminder!

‘Cristmas Walk’ – This Sunday 28th 11am from the Cricket Club.

Never mind ‘Spot the Reindeer’ – They are already in the Club having some festive fun!

Hopefully they haven’t eaten all the mince pies…. Looks like Rudolph has had a tipple!

Don’t worry, if Rudolph gets an upset stomach we can always give him ‘Elk’-a-seltzer!

Why are Father Christmas’s Reindeer like a Cricket match? – Because they are both stopped by the rein!!

See you & your families tomorrow for some more festive fun…..
