2 wins on a rain affected weekend.

On a day when many fixtures were not played out due to poor weather, both Norton in Hales senior teams sneaked in wins.

The 1st team were away at Oakamoor CC and chose to bowl first. The home team were soon in trouble as Kashif Ali Moon (3-15) and Jack Furnival (1-20) made very early inroads, Oakamoor CC 35-4. Change bowlers Anthony Sheeran (4-12) and Appukutigge Perara (2-19) then finished the innings off. Oakammor CC all out for 70. The Norton in Hales reply was not without wobbles. The only player to make double figures was Eddie Warrington (23). However it was left to Jamie Shaw (6 no) and Adeel Khalid (1 no) to seal a 4 wicket win.
The 2nd team were at home to Leycett CC 2nd X1 and batted first. Opener James Ruscoe hit a brilliant 67. Reggie Farnell an even better 74 not out and Paul Evans with a cheeky 15. The home team posting 190 off their 40 overs. The away team reply was curtailed after 21 overs when the score was on 55-1 due to rain. The game never resumed and the Norton in Hales boys won due to a better run rate.

Next week the 1st team are at home to Sandbach CC, 1pm start. The 2nd team are away at Oakamoor CC 2nd X1, 1pm start.
